When baby Lia was born in April 2018, Justin Berg made a promise to build a life rooted close to home. With no truck, no budget, and only a borrowed 2006 Honda Odyssey from his mother-in-law, he loaded up a wheelbarrow and some hand tools from his garage and started doing property cleanups for friends, family and neighbors. Lia’s Landscaping was born.

That winter, Justin invested in a red 2000 Ford F250 — a workhorse that would later become the company’s iconic logo. He hired his first full-time employee and laid the groundwork for what would soon grow far beyond the cluttered tool collection in his home garage.

In March 2019, Logan Hiudt — a former JCC basketball league teammate — reached out. After a successful career in the service industry, Logan was searching for purpose, not just a paycheck. The two reconnected over shared values and a relentless drive. What began as a one-truck operation quickly grew into a full-service landscape company, now headquartered in Madisonville and trusted by clients like Weil Kahn Funeral Home, Beechmont Toyota, and some of the most beautiful residential properties in Cincinnati.

In 2024, the team partnered with Raul Ortiz, a well-respected construction contractor, who brings decades of expertise and a deep commitment to the craft. Raul, a former professional soccer player from Ecuador, speaks five languages. You’ll love this guy!

Lia’s success is built on relationships — with clients, employees, and the community. Justin and Logan lead with integrity, transparency, and accountability.
